More about Ebony

What's your favorite book?

“Call of The Wild by Kimberly Ann Johnson”

Why did you decide to be a therapist?

“ I became a therapist to support people with navigating life experiences they struggle with while maintaining compassion and empathy for their process.”

How would you best describe the process of therapy?

“Therapy is a relationship that provides a safe space and opportunities for clients to explore and develop new ideas and skills for their lives. I support clients by using my skill sets to encourage their natural curiosity and creativity. We work together to develop a grounded plan that supports feeling safe enough to try out new ideas while in the learning process.”

Clinical Approach

Ebony Pannell is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist AMFT (141222) who uses compassion-based approaches to co-create the treatment and ultimately the life the client desires. Ebony is client-centered and takes a humanistic approach to psychotherapy by acknowledging the whole human that is in front of her. Ebony makes it a point to not place people in boxes. She believes in being a witness for clients and gives them space and permission to witness themselves without judgment or shame in decisions they have made. Ebony strives to be a solid foundation for clients to navigate and explore with. She believes in walking alongside her clients as they find their center and clarity and acceptance of themselves. Ebony is under the clinical supervision of Jenica McKeown (LCSW #62086).
