What's your ideal weekend look like?

“Some weekends look like walks with my family at a local lake, other weekends are dancing and enjoying live music with my friends. If my body is asking for rest, it looks like sleeping in, at home spa day with my daughter.”

Why did you decide to be a therapist?

Working with families for over 25 years I've seen that mental health has a huge impact on how we parent and show up in our lives. I am curious about our brains and how we navigate life. I naturally gravitated towards being a therapist as I have abilities of creating safety, supportive and a non judgmental space for others.

How would you best describe the process of therapy?

We start by creating a safe space where all feelings and thoughts are welcomed. I view it as a working relationship, you are the expert of your life, I am here to help you by identifying what behaviors are no longer serving, I see myself as encouraging you to explore creative ways to reimagine new behaviors that may assist in relieving overwhelming symptoms that are negatively impacting you. There are moments of all ranges of our emotions in session. I assist you in building capacity to handle all your experiences. My ultimate goal is for you to have the confidence in yourself to be able to deal with anything life brings.
